Privacy Policy

Khattco International (“Khattco”, “we”, “us”) is an Australian company. We respect your privacy and handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. This policy explains what we collect through khattco.com.au, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

What we collect

We collect only what you choose to send us, through the enquiry form or by email:

• your name, company, email address and country
• the product, grade, quantity and destination port you are asking about
• any message you write to us

We do not run accounts, take payments or sell anything on this website. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

How we use it

We use your details to reply to your enquiry, prepare a quotation, send samples and keep a record of our correspondence. We do not use them for unrelated marketing, and we do not sell them.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the services that help us run the website and answer you:

• Brevo, the email service that delivers your enquiry to us. Brevo may process the data on servers outside Australia.
• Google reCAPTCHA, which checks that a person, not a bot, is sending the form. Google receives technical information about your visit, such as your IP address, and its own privacy policy applies.
• Our producers, shipping lines and inspectors, but only the part of an enquiry needed to fulfil an order you have asked us to quote or place.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

Cookies and tracking

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Google reCAPTCHA may set its own cookies when the enquiry form loads. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP address and pages requested, for security and troubleshooting.

Keeping information safe

Enquiries are sent over an encrypted connection, and the keys that send email are stored on the server, never in your browser. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send passwords or payment card details by email or through the form.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to deal with you and to meet our legal and record keeping obligations, and then delete or de-identify them.

Your choices

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing Services@khattco.com.au. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, tell us and we will look into it. You may also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it last changed. See also our Terms.
